Service Description
Drypoint etching is the first step into the realm of intaglio etching and a great way to jump into the wonderful world of printmaking. Using an etching tool, you’ll carefully design and scratch an image in the round of your choosing into a recycled CD. And then you will learn to ink and print the CD plate by hand. This course is well suited to both those who are new to printmaking and those that wish to add another technique to their practice. By the completion of this course students will be able to engrave an image on a CD and take home a beautiful small edition of prints. All Materials included! Feel free to bring a CD of your own to use. Bring an apron or something you don’t mind getting messy in.
