Service Description
This is a hands-on workshop teaching traditional and contemporary intaglio printmaking techniques. Participants learn to prepare copper plates, apply grounds, create images using line and tonal techniques, and use a printing press to produce, ink, and print editions. We will focus on safety, creativity, and materiality. All materials are included in the cost of this workshop! Students are encouraged to take the Intaglio 1: Introduction to drypoint workshop as a primer for this course and to learn the basics of printing. Students interested in taking both Intaglio 1 and 2, can book the two courses together for 25% off both! Amy is a classically trained printmaker with a BFA from ACAD. She studied intaglio with Dundarave's cofounder, Wayne Eastcott at Capilano, and learned printmaking within an international context. She has a passion for copper, paper and teaching! She has taught art and SCUBA diving to all ages and abilities, and brings inspiration to her classes to encourage individual expression grounded in historical context.
